Boilers

Combination Boilers
Combi's, as they are known in the trade, are now the most used form of central heating boilers. Most Combi's run on mains pressure water; therefore do not require tanks to be placed in the loft. They also elimate the need for a not water cylinder as they instantly heat the water when it is needed. Another benefit with the combi is that, due to it running from the mains water supply, you can create an effective power shower without the need for a pump.
Combi boilers require the least amount of plumbing thus offer a cost saving when installing.
Just like its name suggests these boilers combine heating a hot water all in one. No tanks and instantaneous hot water whenever you open a hot tap. The temperature at the tap is dependent on the temperature of the mains supply and the flow rate.
Pros:
Compact, efficient and easy to install. No requirement for tanks Or storage vessels
Cons:
Low hot water flow rates
All boilers should be inspected and serviced once a year during the summer to ensure that they will be reliable for the coming winter and beyond. It is far better that any heating problems should arise during the summer than in the middle of winter.
We are happy to work on all Gas Combi Boilers. Our vans carry a multitude of spare parts for many boilers and most repairs are done with just one visit, saving you time and money.
Condensing Boilers
Condensing boilers are the most energy efficient Central Heating boilers on the market today. They achieve this high level of efficiency by removing the heat from the fuel it is burning and also cooling the products of combustion, which are normally wasted up the flue. It has to have a larger, more efficient heat exchanger than traditional boilers.
When you change your old boiler for a condensing boiler, you will:
- Save money on your heating bills
- Play your part in helping tackle climate change
It is very easy to fit a high efficiency boiler. The only difference is that as an installer we also needs to fit a condensation pipe. However, there may be a few homes where it would too be difficult or expensive to do this. Your installer will be able to assess your home and if this is the case, we will be able to advise you on what type of boiler can be fitted instead.
